Britain's Queen Elizabeth II meets England captain David Beckham (left) and manager Sven Goran Eriksson (2nd left), 19 November 2002, during a reception for the Football Association held a Buckingham Palace. The 75-strong England party, including back-room staff as well as high profile players and management, arrived at the Palace in three coaches. The drinks-and-canapes reception was staged in the Blue Drawing Room at the Palace where FA chairman Geoffrey Thompson (C), along with the England coach and captain, were the first to meet the Queen.
