男子鰭量級選手朱木炎，則不幸成為南韓「主場優勢」的犧牲品。決賽對手為地主選手朴喜徹，終場前七秒，朱木炎的一次旋踢將對手逼出邊線，主審不但沒有做出警出判決，時間結束後，反倒裁定南韓選手攻擊優勢獲勝；面對這樣的判決，朱木炎只能含淚接受這個銀牌。(2002/10/11
